BLACK HISTORY POST 2025

Okay, being the last day of Black History month, I did a fast binge of a series called: Wicked City. It was so riveting that I signed up for the ALLBLACK Channel 🤣🤣🤣 !!! I viewed them from a variety of streaming services (Netflix, Prime, Hulu, TUBI). I even found a freestyle from @officialgreymusic on Instagram which I shared with a few of my BOF (Best Online Friends). I watch that everyday along with snippets of Kendrick Lamar's halftime show featuring Serena's cripp walk (🤣🤣🤣).

While online, I also found one of my favorite dancers after wondering for years what happened to him, "Tighteyez," via of coming across dance routines done by his wife Kendra who used to dance with Beyonce. So now I follow them both!

Lastly, I found all kinds of foodie and fitness clips by DEI chefs, and, mainly Black fitness buffs I now follow throughout the week so I can stay fit and flexible 💪😁!!!

So, I was truly engaged in my own 28 Days of Blackness Challenge. I took three days off because I met my goal of at least 28 Black Movies, Series or Documentaries by day 23.
So as promised, here's my cinematic roll call, place watch them when you have time and share the list! I know there are quite a few iconic performances you've already seen but we must not neglect the old films because they still capture pivotal moments in our history.

This cinematic anthology and a deep dive into my social media world has been totally enriching for my Black History experience. I even have 8 more films I'm still going to watch from a list I tried to follow. But as you can see I found so many more titles as I went continued through the challenge.

I am Black, Blackity Black, and for the life of me, I wouldn't wanna be anybody, else...ever !!! Keep watching...we are some of the most talented, intelligent, soulful and meaningful beings on the planet! The best is yet to come!!!

Love y'all, Akasha "Cyd"
